A Patient's Perspective

Recently, we shared Tabatha’s story. Get to know Tabatha here.

Tabatha, a triple negative breast cancer patient, has been navigating her treatment journey with the support of our CARE Clinical Research Coordinator, Jodi. From assisting with scheduling to accompanying Tabatha to appointments, Jodi has become an integral part of Tabatha's care team. Tabatha shares, "Jodi is there for most of my appointments. She takes notes to report back to my care team. I can reach out to her anytime—she’s a life-saver!”

Having a compassionate and dedicated research coordinator like Jodi by her side has enabled Tabatha to navigate the complexities of treatment with an advocate—one who knows her medical history and has spent time getting to know her as not just a patient, but as a person.

Tabatha elaborates, "Sometimes as a patient, you feel like you’re another number in the system. But with the CARE team, you feel like you’re noticed, a person—you matter."

Tabatha's recent PET scans indicate stable disease, bringing hope to her and her loved ones as she continues her current course of treatment. With her family, friends, Northwest Medical Specialties oncology team, Jodi and our CARE team, and the South Sound community in her corner, Tabatha knows she is not alone in her fight, and that makes a difference.

Thank you for your continued support and advocacy for Tabatha.
