Honoring Those Who Care Behind the Scenes
Honoring Family Caregivers
Dear South Sound CARE Community,
November is National Family Caregivers Month, a time to recognize the extraordinary individuals who quietly, tirelessly support loved ones facing cancer and other serious illnesses.
Family caregivers are often the unsung heroes of the care journey—managing appointments, coordinating treatment, providing comfort, and filling the countless gaps where medical care ends and daily life continues. Their dedication strengthens outcomes, preserves dignity, and brings hope to patients during their most vulnerable moments.
To every caregiver in our community: thank you. Your compassion, resilience, and love make an immeasurable impact. We see you, we honor you, and we are grateful for all you do.
If you or someone you know is caring for a loved one, these resources offer guidance, encouragement, and support:
● Family Caregiver Alliance: Practical tips, education, and caregiver support programs:
● CancerCare Caregiver Support: Free counseling, groups, and resources for cancer caregivers
Thank you for being part of a community that lifts one another up—on the good days, the hard days, and all the days in between.
With gratitude,
South Sound CARE Foundation
