Local Resources for Life Beyond Cancer

Every day, we have the privilege of witnessing the strength and resilience of cancer survivors. This National Cancer Survivor Month, we’d like to share a few local resources that support survivors and their families throughout our community.

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA

LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a free, 12-week program designed to help cancer survivors build strength, improve fitness, and enhance quality of life in a supportive group setting.

Learn more about the impact of LIVESTRONG and hear from local instructor Mary Gallagher Senecal in our recent blog, Stronger Together: How Movement Supports Cancer Survivors.

Pierce County Cancer Survivorship Conference

The Pierce County Cancer Survivorship Conference, taking place on June 10, 2026, brings together survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community organizations for a day of education, support, and connection.

Team Survivor Northwest

Team Survivor Northwest helps women affected by cancer reclaim strength, confidence, and community through evidence-informed fitness programs designed for every stage of survivorship.

Whether you’re looking for education, encouragement, physical activity, or connection, these organizations offer valuable support for life beyond cancer.

We’re grateful for the survivors who inspire us every day and for the organizations helping support them throughout the year.
